Thank you so much to everyone who joined us bright and early in Lincoln Park on Wednesday for Walk to School Day! The event kicked off with remarks from community leaders and VIP guests including Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, Councilman Charles Allen, Interim DCPS Chancellor Amanda Alexander, and DC Department of Transportation Director Jeff Marootian. Director Marootian then made the trek down Tennessee Avenue with the Miner contingent - so many Miner teachers, staff, students, and parents came out to represent our school - thank you! This year was probably the largest turnout we've ever had! If you missed it don't worry, you can join us in May for Bike to School Day. The Miner community would like to thank all the event sponsors, and to the Capitol Hill Public School Parent Organization (CHPSPO) for again coordinating this amazing community event!
