Remind Communications App
Miner uses the Remind App as the primary way to communicate with your teachers and the staff at Miner. Please direct all questions regarding the app to Mr. Copeland.
Download the app on your phone or log into the webpage on your computer. Search for a class with either the class code you received from your teacher or by searching for DCPS and then Miner Elementary. To find your student's teacher(s) look under their teacher's name. You can update your settings to receive messages via the app, email, text, or all of the above.

Class Dojo App
Many teachers use Class Dojo as their means of communication with families and/or as a behavioral tool for students. Each individual teacher uses the platform differently, so be sure to ask any questions you may have.
Download the app on your phone or log into the webpage on your computer. You should have received a class code from your teacher if they use the platform, but you can always reach out to them (all contact information for staff can be found here). Please direct all questions regarding the app to your student's classroom teacher. |
Aspen
The Miner administration uses Aspen, a system used by DCPS, to send text messages, emails, and robocalls. The system populates its database directly from the enrollment forms submitted for each student. In many cases, only one of the phone numbers or email addresses on the form will be contacted. If you do not receive communications via text, email, or robocall, please contact Mr. Copeland to ask that you be added to the contact list.
