Food Restrictions/Allergies
Miner Elementary is a nut-free school. If your child has any allergies or medically necessary dietary restrictions, a Special Dietary Needs Form must be turned in to the nurse and cafeteria staff. This form need to be completed and submitted annually and must be completed by a physician.
If your child has a special diet (such as a vegan or vegetarian diet, or dietary restrictions based on religious beliefs), please submit a Milk Substitution and Philosophical Dietary Accommodations Form. This form does not require a physicians signature, though it too must be submitted annually.
All forms can be submitted to [email protected] or given to any staff member in the Main Office.
We strongly support parents sending their child with a lunch from home if the meal being served is not something their child eats, but we request the meal be comprised of healthy options to support student learning; candy, sugary snacks, and soda are not supported. Gum is not allowed in school, and nothing containing nuts is allowed.
