Special Subjects
At Miner, every student (PK through 5th grade) attends each Related Arts class ("specials") every week:
- Visual Arts - Ms. Pratt

- PE/Health - Mr. Robinson and Mr. Senior (students have PE twice a week)

Library and STEM
All students have the opportunity to visit and explore the Miner Library with Dr. Sawyer, our school librarian. Additionally, our K-5 students have class with Ms. Hillenbrand, our STEM/Science teacher, at least once a week.
Clubs and Extracurricular Activities
Miner offers the following clubs and extracurricular activities:
- Soccer (partnership with DC Scores) - Coaches Mr. Blake, Mr. Scott (grades 3-5); Ms. Mears, and Ms. R. Jackson (grades 1-2)
- Basketball - Athletic Director is AP Bosurgi

- Dance Team - Coach is Ms. K. Hayes
- Lego Club - Club Sponsors are Mr. Yoho (K-1st) and Ms. Hillenbrand (2nd-5th)
