Resident Principal White is a passionate leader with a wealth of experience and a deep-seated belief that all students can be successful if given the opportunity to succeed. She is an alumna of DCPS and has served the district as an educator in several capacities such as Dean of Academics and Interventions, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and most recently Resident Principal at Walker Jones Education Campus. Prior to her work in school leadership, she served as an Instructional Specialist in DCPS Central Office.
Interim Principal: Katrel Angry (katrel.angry@k12.dc.gov)
Ms. Angry is an accomplished educator and administrator with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. She has worked as a teacher, International Baccalaureate Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. As an Assistant Principal at Peabody Elementary School, she established a partnership and led the early childhood team to be a “Creative Curriculum” model for other district and regional educators. Most recently, she was Assistant Principal at Thomson Elementary School
Assistant Principal: LaToya Coleman (latoya.coleman2@k12.dc.gov)
Ms. Coleman has served over 16 years in public school education. She began her tenure in Prince George’s County Public Schools where she was an elementary school teacher. She joined DCPS in 2013 where she was selected as a Capital Commitment Fellow. Ms. Coleman served as a 3rd and 4th grade math teacher before becoming a Math Instructional Coach. In 2019, Ms. Coleman was promoted to serve as the AP at Payne Elementary School. Ms. Coleman holds an OSSE Teaching Certification for grades PreK3 - 6th and OSSE Standard Administrative Services Credentials. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Coppin State University and a Master of Arts for K-12 Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.
