The System of Care Team at Miner provides support to all students. This support may be related to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in the classroom, wellness checks, attendance support, school-wide activities and direct support to children experiencing various challenges.

McKinney-Vento LiaisonIs your family in need of support because you have lost your housing? Are you living with your extended family or friends? If so, please contact our McKinney-Vento Liaison to get connected with resources to support your child(ren).

Edgewood Brookland Family Support CollaborativeMiner has a full-time community-based partner from Edgewood Brookland Family Support Collaborative. Resources for food, housing, diapers, employment, training, emergency support, and other assistance is available.

MBI Youth ProgramThe MBI Youth Program now offers school- based services! School Support Services include Prevention and Early intervention (Tiers 1 & 2), Skill Building/Reinforcement, De-escalation, Staff teaming/Collaboration, home visits, counseling for children (individual and group), referrals for medication management and support programs for adults.

Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) ClinicianDBH operates a school-based program in public and public charter schools that offers prevention, early intervention and clinical counseling services to youth and their families. Miner will soon have a DBH Clinician as part of our team. If you would like to refer your child for individual therapy or learn about other services that DBH offers, please contact Ms. Woodson until our DBH Clinician joins the team.

School Behavior Health Coordinator (SBHC)
We are here to help! If your family is experiencing a hardship and needs resources, please let us know! Counseling services are available during the school day and can address challenges such as anger management, grief and loss, impulsivity, and other difficulties that students face which may make it difficult to learn. You can speak to any member of the Child Wellness Team for support, or you can fill out the Child Wellness Referral Form (or scan the QR code below).
