Nov. 1: Miner Elementary Fall Garden Clean Up and Fun Day!

10/27/2015

We would like to welcome all of our families, students, and neighbors  to join us on Sunday, November 1 between 11am and 4pm for a Miner Elementary Fall Garden Cleanup and Fun Day!

Miner Elementary Fall Garden Clean Up and Fun Day!

When: Sunday, November 1, 11am-4pm
Where: Miner Elementary, 601 15th Street NE
What: Garden Cleanup! Planting shade trees, weeding, fall planting, clean-up, repairs, and getting our hands dirty! We are calling on neighbors to help build something beautiful and green for our children.

Early Childhood Playground: Alongside the early childhood playground, there is a plot of land in need of TLC. We are working with local garden stores, DPW, volunteers, and donors to make it a more beautiful space where kids can plant a few things, and also have some shade, while also providing a barrier to the alley that it borders. For now, we need your help with digging some plots, weeding, and composting & mulching for the winter.

Our Garden: Miner has a large and beautiful garden in need of some TLC. Come help us assess, clean, weed, repair, and sow our winter crops.

We will have water, tools, and trash bags. We could use an extra wheelbarrow if you have one. Bring gloves and snacks!

We look forward to seeing you for a minute or an hour or even more!

If you have questions, please reach out!
