On Saturday, November 21, the Miner Mutual Aid Network held its fourth Community Table. Thanks to the support of the Miner community, Serve Your City and the Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network, Christ City Church, and the Miner Administration, the event provided:
The Mutual Aid team wishes to thank everyone who contributed to the event, especially our outstanding volunteers. As a reminder, if you need support or have support to give, please fill out the Mutual Aid Network intake form. A date for next month’s Community Table will be announced soon. Next Community Table Event: Saturday, November 21 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PMThe Miner Mutual Aid Network will hold its monthly Community Table at Miner on November 21 from 11am-2pm. This Community Table will feature FREE flu shots administered by CVS Pharmacy. Flu shots are available for those 12 and up, and children ages 12-18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
To process flu shots for all who need them, please RSVP and select your time slot using this link. Please note, CVS can administer one flu shot every five minutes. When you select your block of time, indicate how many members of your household you would like to receive a shot. There is no cost to getting a flu shot. If you have insurance, please bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, the cost will be covered by the Miner PTO. We will also once again partner with Serve Your City and Ward 6 Mutual Aid to provide non-perishable food boxes, masks and other PPE, household items, and children’s books and toys. This event is open to the entire Miner community and we encourage everyone to come out and support each other. Masks and social distancing will be required. Donations: We are looking for donations of new or gently used winter clothing (for all ages) and non-perishable food to support the event. This year Miner Elementary's Green Team is partnering with Arcadia's Mobile Market to bring local produce to the community! We will be holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive on November 21st from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. If you would like to donate a box of fresh fruits and vegetables to a family in need, please follow the steps below. We will be accepting donations until November 18th. 1. Visit Miner PTO's Donation portal 2. Choose your payment option. You can pay via credit card or PayPal Giving Fund. 3. Donate a box! Each Box is $15.00. You can donate multiple boxes.
