Hello Miner friends and family! The Miner Green Team would like to invite you to join us during the PTO Greenery Sale this Saturday for a Winter Garden Open House. We will be making some bird feeders and passing out warm cider for all to enjoy. Looking forward to seeing you there! Payments must be cash, check or money orders payable to Studio K. Siblings may be photographed together at no additional cost. This is a fund-raising activity. On Thursday, November 18, K-5 students with perfect attendance were rewarded with an afternoon of roller skating fun during recess. The DPR Roving Leaders brought their skatemobile to Miner for our Miner Bears to enjoy, and as you can see from these pictures, they had a blast! Thanks so much to our Community School Coordinator, Ms. Woodson, and our Miner Administration for organizing this fun event! On Wednesday, November 17, Ms. Stoyle's Fifth Grade homeroom buddied up with Mr. Gillam's First Grade class to work on a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) activity together. Together they shared what brings them joy and makes their hearts warm, and used their creativity to demonstrate this with an art project. Miner Mutual Aid Network Community Table Saturday, November 20 | 11am – 12pm The Miner Mutual Aid Network will host our next Community Table event on Saturday, November 20 from 11am-12pm in the Miner parking lot. As the season changes and the holidays approach, we are focusing on Thanksgiving meal supplies and winter clothing as well as household items, diapers, and children's books/toys. This event is open to the entire Miner community, and we encourage everyone to come out and support one another. Masks and social distancing will be required. Donations For this event, we are focusing on the following items:
Volunteers We need volunteers to assist with set-up, distribution, and clean-up. Look for an email with a volunteer link in the next few days. Support Miner Mutual Aid: We Are Stronger Together The Miner Mutual Aid team is committed to continuing to serve for the foreseeable future. To do this will require additional financial support. If you are interested in making a contribution, please consider making a donation here. We ask that you include a note with your donation indicating you intend it to support Mutual Aid. In solidarity, The Miner Mutual Aid Team  On Friday, October 29, Ms. Bolden and Mr. Yoho's Kindergarten classes participated in a "Buddy Read" with Ms. Stoyle's 5th graders in which the our most senior Mighty Bears had the opportunity to read to and mentor their fellow scholars.    |
