Per request of Miner's Local School Advisory Team (LSAT), the Miner Equity Team and PTO developed a survey to help determine if the amount of time spent daily on virtual learning has been beneficial for families thus far. The button below will open the short and anonymous survey, which can be filled out for each Miner student in a household. The goal is to share the results with the LSAT and Administration in the coming weeks. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. If you have any questions, please contact the Miner Equity Team at [email protected]. Miner’s first Community Day of SY20-21 will be on Saturday, September 26. Throughout this past summer, members of the Miner Equity Team worked with Miner leadership to develop standardized communications processes for the school community, which are set out in the attached Miner Communications Plan. This idea of standardizing communications for Miner arose out of many discussions among members of the school community, PTO-related discussions, and the 2019 Kindred Antiracism Dialogue Groups. The Plan was also a deliverable sought by Miner leadership.
The Miner Communications Plan seeks to standardize the ways that information is communicated across the school community to clarify expectations, ensure consistency, and promote equity. As you will see, the Communications Plan is adapted for both distance learning and for when we return to in-person learning. As set out in the Plan, it will periodically be revisited to ensure that communications are working for members of the entire school community. Click here to download the Communications Plan. Miner's Green Team and the garden program are pleased to present Miner's September garden newsletter. We are so happy to welcome FoodCorps servicemember Syndey Lawson to Miner.
All families are welcome to stop by the Peace Garden anytime they're at Miner when the building is open. On Saturday, August 29, the Miner Mutual Aid Network held its second Community Table event.
