Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Miner’s Third Annual Holiday Greenery & Bake Sale! The three-day event was wildly successful, raising $5,800, which is $800 more than our goal. It was also a fun community event that filled us all with some holiday cheer! Miner also partnered with the Eliot-Hine PTO to sell poinsettias alongside our greenery. A huge Thank You goes out to Maggie Ben-Or, the chair of the PTO's Fundraising & Grants Committee and lead organizer for the event. She and her team worked tirelessly with two separate vendors and multiple delivery times and dates to be sure we had the best, freshest, most beautiful trees and greenery available. Her team kept the trees watered and protected, overcame a few delivery “hiccups,” and organized our legion of volunteers all so we could have a successful fundraiser and some beautiful holiday greenery in our homes. We also want to thank all of the volunteers who helped make the event so successful. Some people baked delicious treats; some people helped customers with their trees; some people helped with set up and break down before and after the event each day; some people helped out with sales; some people watched the volunteers’ kids; some people showed up on Sunday when we decided to extend sales for an extra afternoon. No matter your role, if you were one of our volunteers, we could not have done this without you. Thank you so much for your contribution to our effort.
Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank everyone who actually purchased something from our sale. Whether a wreath, a stand, or one of the monster sized trees that even the strongest of volunteers struggled to lift, your purchase helped improve our school in ways that will directly benefit our students. And to those of you who donated extra money so that some families who wouldn’t normally be able to have a Christmas tree will actually have one this year, we thank you for your generosity. This time of year tends to bring out the best in people, and once again our Miner Family showed us just what an amazing community we are part of. Thank you all so much! Comments are closed.
