The Miner PTO wants to thank everyone who joined us for our End-of-Year Community Day. We had so much fun on Saturday as we mingled with members of the Community who came to Miner to enjoy some hot dogs, play on the playground, make smoothies on the bike, donate uniforms, and win some amazing raffle prizes! It was the perfect ending to a less than perfect year, as we finally got to spend some time together in person (and not on a computer screen). Everyone present made the day truly special.
We are so grateful to all who helped with the event--whether you attended, helped plan, or volunteered in anyway, you played a huge role in the event's success. There were many people involved, but we want to specifically thank Brandon Scott for the idea to hold the event, David Treat and John Muir for rebuilding the picnic tables, Latoya McCarthy-Scott for purchasing the food, Sydney Lawson for supporting our garden programming, Chris Deutsch for his leadership with the Miner Mutual Aid Network, and Abby McGill for bringing in all the sponsors and donors! Thanks to this amazing team we were able to have a wonderful Community Day as we said goodbye to Principal Jackson and welcomed Principal Greer. We hope you all have a wonderful summer. As always, thank you so much for your continued support of Miner Elementary and the Miner PTO. Comments are closed.
