Early Childhood Open Houses

The school common lottery opens on December 10th (apply here), and Miner Elementary School has scheduled several open house dates for PreK3 and PreK4 families.  We would love for you to join us for one of the sessions - children are welcome! ​All open houses will begin in the Parent Center in Room 103. 

If you come to a daytime session, your child can join one of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) classes for a while.  If nights are better for you, you'll get a tour of our ECE wing, and if you come to the January 8th open house, you are welcome to stay for our PTO meeting afterwards.

No need to RSVP.  We look forward to seeing you!

• Monday, November 26 from 9:15 - 10:15 AM
• Saturday, December 1 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM (Holiday Greenery & Bake Sale is also that morning)
• Monday, December 17 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM
• Tuesday, January 8 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM (PTO meeting starts at 6:00 in the cafeteria)
• Wednesday, January 16 from 9:15 - 10:15 AM
• Wednesday, February 27 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM

Note that ​Miner is a DCPS "Early Action" school, so if you're in bounds for Miner, you're guaranteed a PreK3/PreK4 seat if you include Miner on your lottery application.
