First Day of School

• Monday, 8/26 for Kindergarten – 5th Grade
• Thursday, 8/29 for all PK3 and PK4
• Aftercare will start on the first day of school (8/26 for K – 5; 8/29 for P3 and P4)

Arrival Time and Procedures

• ·8:15 – 8:30 am – Morning Drop Off for all students P3 – 5th Grade
•  Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria (K – 5) or in the ECE classrooms

 

• Students arriving after 8:30 –
  • Must enter through the parking lot doors on 15th street.
  • Students arriving after 8:40 am are tardy

 

• · Walkers
  • Enter through the 15th Street doors OR the 16th Street doors
  • No walkers in the parking lot

 

• · Car Drop Off Line
  •  Enter into the parking lot,
  • Go to the right, and drop off your student(s) at the 15th street door.
  • Driver’s stay in their car
  •  Students must be able to exit the car by themselves
  • Drive slowly and carefully

 

• · PK3 and Pk4 drop off is at the ECE Center (new building)
  • Parents will drop students off at the front doors
  • Parents will not come into the building

 

• Afternoon Pickup
  • Your Teacher will send you a picture of your pick up location
  • · Pick up time
    • 1st – 5th Grade is 3:15 pm
    • PK3, PK4, and KDG will dismiss at 3:05 pm
    • No early dismissal after 2:30 pm, no exceptions

 

• Pick Up Locations
  • ECE Students (P3/P4) will be picked up at the front doors of the ECE Center
  • KDG Students – Dismissed from the covered outdoor classroom on 16th street side
  • 1st Grade – Dismissed from the garden area
  • 2nd Grade – 5th Grade – Dismissed from under the big tree on the northeast corner of the field
  • In case of rain – KDG stays in the same location, 1st – 5th Grade will dismiss from the gym

School Supplies

• All students in grade K – 5 will receive a School Tool Box with school supplies on the first day of school

Other things to note…

• Aftercare begins on the first day of school (8/26 for K – 5; 8/29 for PK3 and PK4)
• Uniforms are optional at Miner. If you choose to have your student wear a uniform, it is dark blue on the bottom, white or light blue on the top
• Save the Date for our Back To School Night on Wednesday, Sept. 4th from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. This is the night you will hear from your child’s teacher, see the classroom, and meet all the specials teachers (art, music, PE, Performing Arts)
